“Business of Entertainment Panel”

The entertainment industry employs not only talented actors and singers, but also offers opportunities for workers with strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical strengths.

Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education invites students to learn from alumni panelists who have worked in live event management, symphony and sports entertainment. The virtual “Business of Entertainment Panel” event will take place Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 1 to 2 p.m.

About the panelists

Sarah Resnick (CWR ’16) worked as production manager on a diverse range of live events, handling the operations and logistics for experiences from Broadway plays to touring punk festivals. Resnick is pursuing her MBA in management information systems at Binghamton University.

Austin Kilpatrick (CWR ’17) has served in production roles at Cleveland Play House, Des Moine Metro Opera Inc. and most recently for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Kilpatrick also is pursuing an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh.

Sean McCarthy (CWR ’15, MGT ’17) serves as director of finance for the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium. McCarthy also previously worked for Accenture and Deloitte.

Amanda Lilly (CWR ’19, MNO ’19) moved to Colorado Springs in 2019 to pursue her dream career in the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Presently, Lilly works as the Team USA Fund Coordinator in the development department at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
