The stakes are high for police encounters with youth, especially when the young person is in crisis. The Schubert Center for Child Studies will host a community conversation titled “Building a Youth Crisis Care Response” Nov. 2 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C.
Attendees will hear from guests who will discuss efforts to respond to youth in crisis without always relying on law enforcement.
Speakers will include perspectives from law enforcement, the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services board, a new Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) community program and a young adult with personal experience.
A light snack will be served during this event. Register to attend and learn more about the panelists.
