“Bridging Nursing Research and Innovation”

Research and innovation drive change in health care. A new Year of the Nurse event aims to empower nurses at all levels with the knowledge and resources to be the catalyst of change to improve health care.

In collaboration with University Hospitals of Cleveland, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing will host “Bridging Nursing Research and Innovation” Thursday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 5 p.m. (EST). This virtual event is an opportunity to hear a keynote speech from the new director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Nursing Research, Shannon Zenk.

Following Zenk’s keynote remarks, a panel of local nurse innovators will discuss their inventions and how research and innovation has shaped their nursing careers. The panelists will be:

  • Hayley Devine, Case Western Reserve University;
  • Jane Hartman, Cleveland Clinic; and
  • Jonathan Sague, University Hospitals of Cleveland.

This free event will offer a contact hour and is open to all students, faculty, practicing nurses and nurse leaders.
