Break the Cycle of Violence Forum

Join the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine Latino Medical Student Association and the Student National Medical Association at Case Western Reserve University today (Sept. 27) at 6 p.m. for a conversation with members of the medical community and those who are doing critical work to end gun violence in Ohio, where annual gun deaths are triple the national average. Attendees can attend virtually to hear the stories of health care workers and gun violence interrupters in their own words, and learn more about how to take action to help end this epidemic.

Featured panelists will be:

  • Mar’Yum Patterson, hospital trauma liaison for Cleveland Peacemaker’s Alliance;
  • Jasmeet Sidhu, senior researcher for Amnesty International USA’s End Gun Violence Campaign;
  • Edward Barksdale, co-founder of the Antifragility Initiative at University Hospitals Rainbows & Babies Children’s Hospital; and
  • Ronny Howard, gun violence survivor and prevention activist from Brady, Ohio.

Register to attend.
