This fall, Case Western Reserve University will host BlueBash, a special kickoff to Homecoming and Alumni Weekend highlighting the university’s innovative community and featuring a concert by Goo Goo Dolls, presented by University Program Board.
BlueBash will be held Oct. 13 in Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a dessert reception and an interactive showcase of faculty, student and alumni innovations, including a performance by the Tesla Orchestra led by alumnus Ian Charnas (CWR ’05); a rich multimedia experience by the Freedman Center’s Creative Director of New Media Jared Bendis (CWR ’02; GRS ’04); and interactive demonstrations using the latest cutting edge technology by some of our faculty, students and alumni.
At 7:45 p.m., a special announcement will precede the University Program Board’s fall concert. Headline act Goo Goo Dolls will take the stage to perform some of their greatest hits. The concert and BlueBash event are free to current faculty, staff and students, but tickets are required.
Visit www.case.edu/bluebash to register. You will need to create an account with University Tickets and submit an address for billing information. No credit card or other purchasing information is required.
“This unique opportunity to partner with other departments at the university has allowed UPB to not only bring in the largest headliner in our history but also to make the Goo Goo Dolls available to the entire CWRU community for free,” said Mike Baldonieri, UPB’s director of finance. “It is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy the programming that our undergraduates make possible.”
Attendees are encouraged to wear creative blue attire.
This event is generously underwritten by: Bon Appetit, Event Source, Medical Mutual, RCS, University Program Board and University Tickets.
