Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to attend the next meeting of the Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences-based Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning Group Thursday, Feb. 22, from noon to 1 p.m. in Wolstein Research Building, Room 1223B.
This group discusses articles relevant to diversity issues in population health research, learns how to include diverse perspectives in research, and builds new collaborations and networks together. It is a safe space for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion and is for people who are both new to these topics in research and those who have been working in this space.
The February meeting will be a brainstorming session focused on the topic of “Reducing Disparities in Advance Care Planning.” Members of the MetroHealth Center for Biomedical Ethics will lead this collective brainstorming session. Participants will discuss pathways for individual and collective reduction or elimination of disparities in advance care planning.
Attendees will be invited to watch a recording of a presentation on advance care planning and associated disparities in preparation for the brainstorming session.
A Zoom link may be provided to individuals who are unable to attend in person. Email Rebecca Miller at rdm124@case.edu to be added to the invite.
