Tim Black, professor in the Department of Sociology, will discuss his new book, It’s a Setup: Fathering From the Social and Economic Margins (Oxford University Press, 2021), Friday, Dec. 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. in Mandel Center, Room 115.
The event is free of charge and open to all members of the university community and the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
Black also is the author of award-winning books When a Heart Turns Rock Solid: The Lives of Three Puerto Rican Brothers On and Off the Streets (Vintage 2010) and On Becoming a Teen Mom: Life Before Pregnancy (University of California Press, 2015), co-authored with Mary Erdmans, professor of sociology.
