People giving blood

Blood drive

Delta Sigma Phi and the Case Western Reserve University Red Cross Club will sponsor a blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross Tuesday, Feb. 19, and Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in the Thwing Center ballroom.

Approximately 900 pints of blood are needed daily to meet the need of Northeast Ohio hospitals and medical institutions; each pint of blood can save up to three lives.

Donors are encouraged to make an appointment on the Red Cross website. Walk-ins also are welcome.

Donors can save lives in less time by taking advantage of the RapidPass system to complete their health history online before they donate. Those planning to use the RapidPass system must complete it on the day of donation; this process does not replace making an appointment.
