The documentary Black Indians: An American Story will be shown Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room A9. The documentary will be followed by a discussion led by Susan Dominguez, SAGES Teaching Fellow in the Department of English.
Black Indians: An American Story follows the history of Native and African Americans and examines the events that determine their cultural identities. Dominguez’s discussion will analyze the necessity of recovering the histories of Native Black Americans.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
