In recognition of Black History Month, the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence will host a documentary screening of Ayonmide R. Ojebuoboh’s We Belong: Navigating Medical School As Black Women Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 to 11:45 a.m. in the Linsalata Alumni Center.
This documentary highlights medical school experiences of five Black women, including their perspectives that reveal the difficulties of and the beauty in finding belonging, remaining authentic and staying true to themselves in higher education spaces that were initially built without minority-females in mind.
Brunch will be provided.
