The university community is invited to the Black Graduation Ceremony today (May 18) from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
In its third year, the Black Graduation Ceremony is a pre-commencement celebration to honor students from the African Diaspora who, through determination and academic achievements, have successfully completed their degree programs from Case Western Reserve University.
The ceremony acknowledges the sense of scholarly community among students and honors African and African-American culture and culminates with a Kente Stole presentation, along with receiving the alumni pin.
