The Plain Dealer: The Prayers from Maria Foundation announced a $250,000 grant to fund the research of James P. Basilion, associate professor of radiology and biomedical engineering. The foundation bears the name of 7-year-old Maria McNamara, who passed away in 2007 from a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer called glioma.
