Anant Madabhushi, the Donnell Institute Professor of Biomedical Engineering and director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics, wrote a piece published in Crain’s Cleveland Business discussing how artificial intelligence can be used to efficiently allocate health care resources by predicting response to treatment for COVID-19 patients.

In the piece, titled “Artificial intelligence’s role in pandemic resource management,” he wrote about how applying AI in the risk stratification of patients could help to better allocate ICU capacity, ventilators, and other health care resources for the patients who need them most. Read the full article on the Crain’s Cleveland Business’ website.
