WBUR: Aaron Goldenberg, associate professor of bioethics, talked about the challenges associated with potential regulations that would add a consent process for human specimens. “We work with a couple community health centers and they have no basis to do this any time soon,” he said. “This is going to be a national problem. The new regulations may make it harder for under-served populations to participate in research studies.”
