New Scientist: The world’s first cloned human embryonic stem cells have been created, and researchers were able to pay women to donate their eggs for research. Approaching women who already planned to donate their eggs “was quite creative” because it reduces concerns about women being lured to donate for financial reasons, said Insoo Hyun, associate professor of bioethics and director of the Stem Cell Research Ethics Center.
