Join the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship via Zoom Thursday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. ET for “Beyond Silicon Valley: Growing Entrepreneurship in Transitioning Economies.” The discussion will include Walid Jalabi, technology licensing associate at the CWRU Technology Transfer Office and Lana Franks, student entrepreneurship program lead and coach at the University of the Western Cape’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
They will discuss the role of anchor institutions and how to leverage them based on their respective experiences at institutions in Cleveland and Cape Town, South Africa.
Beyond Silicon Valley (BSV) is a massive open online course (MOOC) developed and taught by Michael Goldberg, Veale Institute’s executive director, for CWRU and is taken by students around the world.
