Rachel Lovell, research assistant professor at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, and Daniel Flannery, the Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor at the Mandel School and director of the Begun Center, collaborated with other experts on a piece about investigating sexual assault cases.
The piece, Identifying Serial Sexual Offenders Through Cold Cases, provides five recommendations for law enforcement agencies investigating sexual assault. It also provides the authors’ perspective on research coming out of a national program aiming to reduce the backlog of untested sexual assault kits.
