Rachel Lovell, research assistant professor at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, recently shared her expertise on podcast episodes.
She appeared on the Algorithm podcast for the episode “The Survivor,” during which she weighed in on police’s mistrust of survivors and how it can affect investigations. Listen to the Algorithm episode.
She also contributed to two episodes of the Research Triangle Institute’s Just Science podcast: “Just Lawfully Owed DNA – Research and Considerations” and “Just A Cost Benefit Analysis Of Sexual Assault Investigation – Research and Considerations.”
In both of these episodes, Lovell appeared with Mary Weston from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office to discuss lawfully owed DNA and a recently published article detailing the case for an “investigate all” approach to sexual assault kit investigation.
