During their second COVID-19 summer, unvaccinated tweens are struggling.
National Geographic: Jane Timmons-Mitchell, senior research associate with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine, said that it can be emotionally tough for unvaccinated tweens to hang out with classmates who’ve already gotten their shots and are enjoying newfound freedoms.
