U.S. overdose deaths reach milestone, while Northeast Ohio closes in on shattering record

WEWS: Daniel Flannery, director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education, weighed in on the recent surge of opioid deaths across the nation. In Ohio, almost 5,600 overdose deaths happened from April 2020 to April 2021, up nearly 1,200 from the year before.
