Aysegul Zeren was appointed the new pre-law advisor, effective as of July, succeeding the recently retired Terri Mester.
Zeren, in her role as assistant director for student experience, will continue the work Mester began in guiding students on their journeys to legal careers.
Zeren also is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Political Science, where she teaches courses on conflict resolution, transitional justice, and human rights. Earlier this year, Zeren was recognized for her outstanding mentorship of undergraduate students with the J. Bruce Jackson MD Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Mentoring.
