Faculty and staff are integral to Case Western Reserve University’s mission. And to show gratitude for those wide-ranging efforts, the university will host an Employee Appreciation Day celebration Friday, March 6.
Held in conjunction with National Employee Appreciation Day, the event at Case Western Reserve will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on the first floor commons of Tinkham Veale University Center.
Faculty and staff can stop by for desserts and snacks from Bon Appetit Management Co., meet with representatives from multiple departments at informational booths and enter their names in a raffle for various prizes, including airline tickets.
The Schubert Center for Child Studies announces Schubert @ Intersection, an opportunity for students whose research focuses on children or adolescents to be recognized and compete for monetary prizes. The event will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020, from 12-3 p.m. in the Veale Convocation Center.
Interested students should complete the Schubert Center section of the Intersections Registration Form indicating they wish to be considered for the competition. The registration deadline for Intersections is Friday, March 20, 2020.

I Don't Eat Because... is a student-run organization focused on reducing food insecurity at CWRU with goals of increasing awareness, fundraising, activism, and scholarship.
I Don’t Eat Because... will host a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nord Hall Atrium on Friday, Feb. 28th. Desserts will be available for purchase, but donations are welcome and accepted. Students can donate five canned or non-perishable food items for one dessert.

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences’ offices of International Education Programs and International Affairs will be hosting an International Resource Marketplace on Tuesday, March 3, at the Mandel School Noble Commons from noon to 2 p.m.
This event is intended to serve as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and community members who are seeking opportunities to network with globally focused organizations in northeast Ohio.

Representatives from IES Abroad Latin America and South Africa will be on campus to speak to CWRU students interested in studying abroad in either location on Thursday, March 5. Study Abroad Advisors from the CWRU Office of Education Abroad will be there to answer students’ questions about CWRU course transfers, eligibility requirements, finances and funding, and more.
