Attend Voices of Glory spring concert to benefit local family

voices of glory flyerVoices of Glory will host its 14th annual Spring Benefit Concert on Saturday, April 18, at 5 p.m. at John Hay High School (2075 Stokes Blvd).

All proceeds from the concert will benefit a local family in need. All members of the community are welcome. A free reception and a baked goods raffle will follow the concert.

If purchased ahead of time, tickets for the concert will cost $3 for undergraduates and $5 for everyone else, though children may attend for free. Ticket prices will increase by $2 at the door.

Voices for Christ from Oberlin College & Conservatory also will perform during the concert.

The choir has been helping local families since 1999, often giving more than $1,000 toward whatever hardship the chosen family was facing. This year, they hope to do the same to help the family move into a safer home and buy clothes, food and school supplies for the children.

Anyone with questions can contact Jasmine High, president of Voices of Glory, at or 330.330.1783.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs, Residence Hall Association and University Media Board will co-sponsor the benefit concert.
