Voices of Glory will host its 14th annual Spring Benefit Concert on Saturday, April 18, at 5 p.m. at John Hay High School (2075 Stokes Blvd).
All proceeds from the concert will benefit a local family in need. All members of the community are welcome. A free reception and a baked goods raffle will follow the concert.
If purchased ahead of time, tickets for the concert will cost $3 for undergraduates and $5 for everyone else, though children may attend for free. Ticket prices will increase by $2 at the door.
Voices for Christ from Oberlin College & Conservatory also will perform during the concert.
The choir has been helping local families since 1999, often giving more than $1,000 toward whatever hardship the chosen family was facing. This year, they hope to do the same to help the family move into a safer home and buy clothes, food and school supplies for the children.
Anyone with questions can contact Jasmine High, president of Voices of Glory, at casevoicesofglory@gmail.com or 330.330.1783.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs, Residence Hall Association and University Media Board will co-sponsor the benefit concert.
