President Barbara R. Snyder and Provost William A. “Bud” Baeslack encourage all faculty and staff to stop by the annual Adelbert Hall Open House this afternoon.
With food and drink on every floor, the event provides members of the university community an opportunity to gather with friends and colleagues in a relaxed, fun atmosphere before the end of the semester Wednesday, Dec. 21.
Typically several hundred people attend, even if only for a short time, to enjoy respite from grading exams, finalizing budget reports, and many other end-of-the-year obligations.
The event takes place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. today, and features fruit and cheese, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and all manner of sweets—cakes, pastries, and an abundance of offerings including chocolate.
Organizers emphasize that faculty and staff are welcome to attend even if they didn’t have a chance to RSVP last week.
