Representatives from the Peace Corps and City Year will host a joint information session Monday, Oct. 6, at 4:30 p.m. in Nord Hall 400. In the session, they will provide insight into their respective programs and how to apply.
City Year is an education-focused nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to help keep students in school and on track to graduate. City Year AmeriCorps members commit to a year of full-time service in schools, where they work as tutors, mentors and role models.
Peace Corps volunteers work as educators and trainers in schools, clinics, nongovernmental organizations and community centers in more than 65 countries. Volunteers commit 27 months.
