SPARC [conversations], the first student-run speaker series, will hold its first event Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, ballrooms A and B.
SPARC is an acronym for an overarching array of topics the students hope will spark discourse—Society, Politics, Art, Research and Community. SPARC was created to provide a platform for students to share ideas with the community at large and vice versa.
The one-day event will feature speakers of varying backgrounds and education, including Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and members of the Greater Cleveland community. In addition to individual talks, there will be a discussion panel on business development and entrepreneurship.
Attendees can come and go as they please between talks. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.
Free food will be available at the event.
