The Schubert Center for Child Studies and MetroHealth will host a screening of the short documentary film Healthy Students = Strong Learners and a subsequent panel discussion Friday, Feb. 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
School-based health centers are having a positive impact on the lives of children in Northeast Ohio by improving health outcomes, reducing school absences and more. The panel discussion will focus on the critical importance of collaboration between educators and health care providers, as well as the push to expand such programs into more schools.
The panelists will be:
- Erron Bell (MetroHealth);
- Eric Gordon (Cleveland Metropolitan School District); and
- Habeebah Grimes (Positive Education Program).
Vanessa Maier (Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, MetroHealth) and Katie Davis (MetroHealth) will moderate.
