The newly established Case Western Reserve University Emeriti Academy invites the university community to its inaugural event Tuesday, April 19, at 1 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, ballroom B.
The event will feature a talk from internationally renowned historian of modern Africa Sara Berry, emeritus professor of history and chair of the Emeritus Academy at Johns Hopkins University.
She will share insights on the roles of emeriti faculty in the life of universities, the potential of emeriti academies to promote those roles, and their influence on academic communities both locally and nationally.
A reception will follow.
