Learn about career opportunities in Cleveland—now and in the future—at upcoming event

The Case Western Reserve University Office of the Provost, Office of Student Affairs and Jewish Alumni Network will co-sponsor a forum for students titled “Crossroads to the Future” on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

The forum will look at Cleveland today and tomorrow, how professional fields will interrelate, how to enjoy the quality of life in Greater Cleveland, and how many job opportunities will be available for young adults who choose to remain here.

Stephanie Y. McHenry, vice president for business affairs and finance and chief financial officer at Cleveland State University, will moderate the event.

Panelists include:

  • David C. Kaelber, chief medical informatics officer of the MetroHealth System, director of the Center for Clinical Informatics Research and Education, internist and pediatrician
  • Jonathan Leiken, partner at Jones Day and chair of the board of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association
  • Oleg Friedman: who, with his partners (all recent graduates of Case Western Reserve University) cofounded ONOSYS, a restaurant online-ordering company recently purchased by LivingSocial

The schedule for the evening includes cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m., with the forum starting at 6:30 and ending at 7:45 p.m.

RSVP is required by noon, on Monday, Oct. 14, to Toby Lausin at tlausin@clevelandhillel.org or Andrea Weiser at aweiser@clevelandhillel.org.

Business casual attire is recommended.
