Tonight, Case Western Reserve University will mark a major milestone in the construction of the Tinkham Veale University Center with a topping-off ceremony.
The ceremony signifies the end of steel construction for the 82,000-square-foot structure university center, which is scheduled to open in 2014. The $50 million project was partially funded through a $20 million commitment from the late Tinkham Veale II (CIT ’37).
All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend the lighthearted ceremony—complete with blue top hats. The topping-off ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. outside the building. Refreshments will be provided.
