April is Alcohol Awareness Month. Substance abuse and addictive disease (alcohol and other drug dependence) make up the most common type of mental health problems in our community. On April 12, join School of Medicine professor Theodore Parran as he discusses the spectrum of addiction, the signs and symptoms of the disease, interventions and factors influencing recovery. Parran’s talk will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Adelbert Hall’s Toepfer Room.
Individuals are encouraged to submit questions in advance; submit questions and register online.
