Angela Ciccia, associate professor of communication sciences, won the 2017 American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) Distinguished Member Award.
The award honors an ACRM member who has made significant contributions to the organization as a chair of a committee, task force, interdisciplinary special interest group or networking group.
Ciccia is the founding chair and co-chair of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Networking Group and a member of the organization’s Pediatric/Adolescent TBI Task Force. Among Ciccia’s contributions are hosting a Pediatric Rehabilitation Networking Group podcast, authoring the first publication by the Pediatric/Adolescent TBI Task Force and service as a representative for pediatric rehabilitation on the program committee of ACRM.
