Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month keynote presentation and festival

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is celebrating Asian American and Pacific Island Heritage Month with a presentation and festival Wednesday, May 1, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Wolstein Research Building and via livestream.

Hosted by the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence, this event will be part of the Virtual Inclusive Talks and Lecture Series. Stacey Diane Arañez Litam, assistant professor in the Department of Counseling, Administration, Supervision and Adult Learning at Cleveland State University, will give a keynote presentation titled “Understanding Intergenerational Scripts to Unlock One’s Power and Promote Wellbeing.”

Litam is an award-winning, nationally recognized researcher, educator, clinical counselor and social justice advocate.

Following her presentation, there will be a festival with authentic, local Asian cuisine, live entertainment and Asian vendors.
