Arts and Sciences’ Lee Thompson discusses $3 million funding to Cleveland Humanities Collaborative

Mellon Foundation donates $3 million to Cleveland Humanities Collaborative

Crain’s Cleveland Business (subscription required): Lee Thompson, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed a new round of funding from the Mellon Foundation allowing the Cleveland Humanities Collaborative—of which Case Western Reserve is a partner—to offer enhanced advising support and on-campus summer programming for transfer students. “Through this additional support from the Mellon Foundation, we’re reaching community college students potentially even earlier in their careers and bringing them to Case Western Reserve for a summer experience where they get a sense of what it’s like to be a residential student,” Thompson said.
