Art history’s Elina Gertsman elected fellow of Medieval Academy of America

Elina Gertsman, the Archbishop Paul J. Hallinan Professor in Catholic Studies II in the Department of Art History and Art, was recently elected a Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America, the highest honor that the MAA can bestow upon North American medievalists.

Fellows are scholars who have made notable lifelong contributions to medieval studies through their scholarship, teaching and service.

To become a fellow, individuals are nominated by three colleagues and are then elected by a vote of the current fellows.
