“Applying to Graduate School in STEM Fields—and Writing Those Pesky Personal Statements”

As students begin to contemplate life post-graduation, SOURCE, Post-Graduate Planning and Experiential Education, and Student Success are teaming up for a workshop titled “Applying to Graduate School in STEM Fields—and Writing Those Pesky Personal Statements.”

Held Friday, March 22, from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in Nord Hall 400, this seminar will help students understand the application process for graduate school in the STEM fields. Students also will get assistance in developing their personal statements.

Ina Martin, director of operations at the Materials for Opto/Electronics Research (MORE) Center, and Emily Pentzer, the Frank Hovorka Assistant Professor in Chemistry, will lead the session. A panel also will provide their insight.
