Apply for the Program Rewarding Innovation in STEM Entrepreneurship (PRISE)

The Program Rewarding Innovation in STEM Entrepreneurship (PRISE) is now accepting applications for the 2025–26 cohort.

PRISE is a cohort-based program for undergraduate women who are interested in entrepreneurship and is designed to support undergraduate women interested in STEM innovation, discovery and creativity. The program aims to address the underrepresentation of women in entrepreneurial ventures.

Through the program, the participating women will learn about processes of entrepreneurship and innovation, participate in workshops on how to be a successful entrepreneur and develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and receive educational resources.

Each week from February to May, PRISE students will be expected to spend 2 to 2.5 hours a week in related programming (learning sessions), meet with assigned teams, and attend professional development workshops. Students will present a pitch-deck presentation at the end of the program. Individuals do not need to be a STEM student or have any experience in entrepreneurship to be part of the program; all that is needed is an interest in learning about entrepreneurship.

Eligibility

  • Open to Case Western Reserve University undergraduate women regardless of major or minor; and
  • Participants must be able to commit at least 4 to 5 hours per month to the program meeting with teammates, attend learning sessions, workshops and networking events.

  • Ongoing support and resources throughout the semester-long program;

  • Education on the basics of entrepreneurship, as well as information and resources on how to take that learning farther.
