The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites underrepresented minority undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the OMA Scholarship Award. This award was established to help support the success, retention and college experience of underrepresented students.
In recognition of underrepresented students and their achievements, OMA awards up to $10,000 each spring to help cover the costs of tuition, research, national career-related conference attendance and participation in study abroad or service trips.
Recipients of the OMA Scholarship Award must meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate or graduate underrepresented minority student registered to attend the 2015 Unity Banquet & Scholarship Benefit;
- Currently have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.5; and
- Be in good academic standing.
CWRU defines underrepresented minority student as African-American, Latino/a/Hispanic, Native American and Pacific Islander students.
The award will be presented at the Annual Unity Banquet and Scholarship Benefit Friday, April 15. Scholarship recipients and one guest will receive complimentary admission to the Unity Banquet.
Applications are available online and must be received by no later than Friday, March 18, at 5 p.m.
