Apply for Freedman Fellows Program to support digital research projects or tech-enabled instruction

The Freedman Fellows Program has extended the deadline for faculty applications for a year-long (2025–26) fellowship to support the planning, development and deployment of digital research projects or innovative technology-enabled instruction.

This year, the fellowship selection committee is especially interested in supporting projects that advance issues relating to generative artificial intelligence and/or its related concepts in academic research or teaching—for example, generative adversarial networks, large-language models and machine learning. In addition, projects that advance issues of current social concern or importance may receive special attention from the selection committee.

Interested faculty members should email freedmanfellows@case.edu to schedule a 30-minute consultation with Kelvin Smith Library staff before applying. Applications are due March 31.
