Apply for an intensive summer seminar with the Cleveland Humanities Collaborative

The Cleveland Humanities Collaborative (CHC) will offer a summer intensive seminar, which will be held Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1. This summer, the seminar will be centered on professional development and teaching in community colleges, with a focus on how engaging children’s literature can enhance scholarship and classrooms. All seminar participants will receive a $1,000 stipend upon completion of the program.

The CHC seminar is intended to be a learning community with a seasoned facilitator guiding the discussions. The seminar will meet in person on the CWRU campus and will convene for five hours each day. Participants should plan to reserve the full day to the work of engaging with the seminar participants and materials. Lunch and parking will be provided each day and participants will receive a copy of the book and any other materials in advance. Funds for long-distance travel and on-campus housing are not available.

The deadline to apply is April 25. Those with questions about the seminar or the application process, can contact Jamaal Hill, the CHC associate director, at jah389@case.edu.
