The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites underrepresented minority undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the OMA Scholarship Award. This award was established to help support the success, retention and college experience of underrepresented students.
Each year, the Office of Multicultural Affairs awards thousands of dollars in recognition of underrepresented students and their achievements. This award helps cover the costs of tuition, research, national career-related conference attendance and participation in study abroad or service trips.
It will be presented at the annual Unity Banquet and Scholarship Benefit Friday, April 7.
Recipients of the OMA Scholarship Award must meet the following criteria:
- Attend the 2017 Unity Banquet and Scholarship Benefit;
- Be in good academic standing; and
- Be actively engaged in co-curricular activities.
Underrepresented minority refers to African-American, Latino/a/Hispanic, Native American and Pacific Islander students.
Applications are due Monday, March 20, at 9 a.m.
