The American Psychological Association recently published a book edited by Abe Wolf, professor of psychiatry and psychology. Wolf and two colleagues, Marvin Goldfried of Stony Brook University and J. Christopher Muran of Adelphi University, edited the book, titled Transforming Negative Reactions to Clients: From Frustration to Compassion.
The text is intended to help therapists of all levels understand and constructively use the feelings they experience when working with patients.
