Paper by anthropology’s Janet McGrath selected by “UNAIDS Science now”

Janet McGrathUNAIDS Science now selected a recent paper titled “Challenging the paradigm: Anthropological perspectives on HIV as a chronic disease” by Janet McGrath, associate professor of anthropology, and colleagues. The paper was selected for inclusion in the 4th issue of HIV this month, an online forum that provides abstracts and links to recent HIV research.

The site provides current scientific information to staff of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and to HIV organizations and researchers to enable development of better-informed policies for reduction of HIV. The article also was published in Medical Anthropology on March 24.
