Amit Gupta selected to join Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging

Amit Gupta, associate professor of radiology at Case Western Reserve University and division chief of cardiothoracic imaging at University Hospitals, was nominated and selected to join the Council of Early Career Investigators in Imaging (CECI²) Class of 2023 of the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research. The Academy’s CECI² program recognizes the achievements of researchers who are in the early phases of their careers and engages them in the academy’s advocacy for medical imaging research funding by illustrating their research interests to policy makers in Washington, D.C.

Over time, as this council has grown, the academy created and implemented yearlong virtual programming aimed to prepare, support and connect investigators as they begin the process of National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant applications. A second level of programming includes attending and participating in various events in Washington, D.C., including the Medical Imaging Technology Showcase on Capitol Hill, visits to the NIH and with their Members of Congress, and attendance at the Academy Research Roundtable.
