Alumni Association to host inaugural “First Year Celebration” May 2

Step right up to the Alumni Association’s inaugural “First Year Celebration” May 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Alumni House.

First-year students are encouraged to join the festivities, which will include a photo booth, ice cream truck, DJ, magician, caricature artist, games, food, drinks and more. Students who arrive at the event by 1:30 p.m. can enter a raffle for gift cards to Amazon, Chipotle, iTunes, Subway, Starbucks and Target.

The event is a “bookend” to the events the Alumni Association held with the Class of 2015 during orientation, explained Ashley Dyer, assistant director of Student and Alumni Outreach for the association.

“We want to get students more involved early—to show them that there are resources the Alumni Association provides before they graduate from Case Western Reserve,” Dyer said.

The Alumni Association offers a number of programs to current students, such as Mystery Bus Tours for sophomores, Student Alumni Association events and networking opportunities between students and Case Western Reserve alumni.

The Alumni House is located at 11310 Juniper Road.
