Alpha Phi Omega to hold seventh annual March for Marfan race April 14

This April, Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will hold its seventh annual March for Marfan, a 5K run/3K walk to raise money for the National Marfan Foundation. Marfan syndrome is a life-threatening connective tissue disorder that can cause abnormal bone growth, vision problems and heart problems.

The event will be held April 14 at Wade Commons, which is located in the North Residential Village of CWRU. Check-in begins at 9 a.m., the run begins at 10 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:15am. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

There also will be a raffle for items such as gift baskets and gift cards to local shops and restaurants in Little Italy. All proceeds of this event will go to the National Marfan Foundation to promote awareness of and research on Marfan syndrome.

Registration is $20 per person or $60 for a group of four. Families are welcome.
