“All Points of Aviation Stress: Thermal Stress, Centrifuge, Kraken, and Spatial Disorientation”

The Center for Aerospace Physiology in Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Physiology and Biophysics will host Lt. Cmdr. Michael Tapia of the United States Navy Monday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to noon in Robbins Building, Room E501.

Tapia will give a presentation titled “All Points of Aviation Stress: Thermal Stress, Centrifuge, Kraken, and Spatial Disorientation” that will provide novel insights into how the human body responds to extreme environments and recovery from periods of disorientation.

Tapia’s presentation will enlighten the audience to the trials of spatial disorientation, the role of physiologists in the military and will span a range of additional audience interests.
