The Health Advocacy Leadership Organization and the Social Justice Institute will host a workshop for those interested in developing advocacy skills for health justice. This month’s workshop will be held Nov. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Thwing Center, Room 101, and will focus on the successful Tobacco 21 campaign and general issues of addiction and public health.
Experts from the campus and community will present information about local coalitions, communication strategies and negotiation techniques used by activists and advocates. Workshop participants then will work together to develop novel campaign proposals to address the issue.
A light dinner will be provided.
