“Advocacy 101 with CWRU Alums”

Interested in advocacy? Want to learn more about how to make change on issues of concern to you? Join a virtual panel of Case Western Reserve University alumni for a discussion spotlighting advocacy as a form of civic engagement that contributes to social change. 

Attendees will hear alumni perspectives on what advocacy means to them and tools and tips for students engaging in advocacy.

Panelists will be:

  • Olivia Ortega, director of advocacy at Greater Cleveland Partnership;
  • Amanda King, founder and creative director of Shooting Without Bullets; and
  • Akshai Singh, national transit justice organizer at Alliance for a Justice Society.

This event will be held Monday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 7:15 p.m.

The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning (CCEL) Student Executive Council and the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities will co-sponsor this event.
